Your Visibility Options
You have complete control over where your listings and profile appear on ShopBroker. Share links directly, show up in marketplace search, or do both.
Two Ways to Sell
1. Share Links (Always Available)
Every listing has a unique share link. Anyone with the link can view and purchase:
`` shopbroker.ca/buy/your-listing-id `
This always works, regardless of any visibility settings.
2. Marketplace Discovery
When your listings are visible on the marketplace, buyers can find them by browsing or searching - even without your share link.
Controlling Individual Listings
When creating or editing a listing, you can choose:
Show on Marketplace (default)
Listing appears in marketplace search
Buyers in your city can discover it
Great for reaching more buyers
Hide from Marketplace
Listing only accessible via your share link
Perfect for private sales
Useful for items you're selling to specific buyers
When to Hide a Listing
Selling to someone you already know
Private sales through your own network
High-value items you prefer to share selectively
When to Show a Listing
General items you want maximum exposure for
When you want marketplace discovery
Items that appeal to a wide audience
Controlling Your Whole Profile
Beyond individual listings, you can control your entire seller presence:
Hide From Marketplace
In your profile settings, turn on "Hide from Marketplace" to:
Remove all your listings from marketplace search
Hide your public shop page
Still allow sales via direct share links
This is useful if you:
Only sell to people you know
Prefer complete privacy
Are taking a break from selling
Your Public Shop Page
At shopbroker.ca/shop/@yourusername`, buyers can see:
All your active marketplace listings
Your ratings and reviews
Your profile photo and business name
Any social links you've added
When you hide from marketplace, this page becomes unavailable.

How to Change Settings
Per-Listing Visibility
Go to Your Shop
Find the listing
Tap Edit
Toggle marketplace visibility
Save changes
Profile-Wide Visibility
Go to Profile Settings
Find marketplace settings
Toggle Hide from Marketplace
Changes apply immediately

Start visible - Marketplace exposure helps new sellers build reputation
Hide strategically - Use private links for specific buyers or high-value items
Don't hide good reviews - Public ratings build trust with new buyers
Check your market - Make sure you're in the right city for local discovery
