How to change your address in ShopBroker

Changing Your Address

Need to update where you receive deliveries or handle pickups? Here's how.

For Buyers

Delivery Address

Each order uses the address you enter at checkout. You don't need to update a stored address - just enter your current address when you buy.

Saved Addresses

If you have an account:

Go to Profile Settings

Find "Addresses" or "Default Address"

Update or add new addresses

Save changes

Your saved address becomes the default at checkout, but you can always change it per order.

For Sellers

Pickup Address

Your pickup address is where drivers come to get items. To update:

Go to Profile Settings

Find "Pickup Address"

Enter your new address

Add any access instructions

Save changes

Important Notes

  • Update before creating new listings

  • Existing listings may need individual updates

  • Provide clear instructions (buzzer codes, gates, etc.)

What Address Changes Affect

For Buyers

  • Where deliveries are sent

  • What address auto-fills at checkout

For Sellers

  • Where drivers pick up items

  • Delivery feasibility for buyers

Tips for Good Addresses

Be Complete

Include:

  • Street number and name

  • Unit/apartment number

  • City and postal code

  • Province

Add Helpful Details

  • Buzzer code

  • Gate access instructions

  • "Use side entrance"

  • Landmark references

Double-Check Postal Code

Wrong postal codes can send drivers to wrong locations.

Moving?

If you're relocating:

Update your profile address first

Check any active listings

Update Stripe/PayPal if needed

Remember delivery zones may change

Business vs Home

You can use either:

  • Home: Personal, may require more coordination

  • Business: Often easier for daytime pickups

Some sellers keep separate addresses for different listings.

Address Verification

Addresses are checked against our delivery service areas. If you enter an address outside our zones:

  • Delivery may not be available

  • Self-arranged pickup still works

  • You'll be notified during setup

Privacy Considerations

  • Your address isn't publicly visible

  • Buyers see it only after purchase (for pickup coordination)

  • Drivers see it for pickup/delivery

  • ShopBroker staff can access for support

Can't Update?

If you're having trouble:

  • Make sure all fields are filled

  • Check for valid postal code format

  • Clear and re-enter if stuck

  • Contact support if issues persist

Common Questions

Do I need to update Stripe too?

If your Stripe business address changes, update it in your Stripe dashboard for accurate records and tax purposes.

What if my address is in a new area?

Enter it and we'll check if delivery service is available. If not, you can still use self-arranged pickup.

Can I have multiple addresses?

Most accounts have one primary address. For different pickup locations, you can specify per-listing in the listing settings.
