Discover Great Deals Locally

The ShopBroker Marketplace lets you browse listings from sellers across Canada. Find what you're looking for in your area, or explore what's available in your entire market.

Getting Started: The Welcome Modal

When you first visit the Marketplace, you'll see a welcome prompt asking to confirm your location. This helps us show you the most relevant listings right away.

The modal will:

  • Detect your area based on your saved address, browser location, or let you choose manually

  • Set your default market and area so you see local listings first

  • Remember your choice for future visits

You can always change your location later - this just gets you started.

Finding the Marketplace

  • Website: Click Marketplace in the main navigation

  • Direct link: Go to shopbroker.ca/marketplace

Your Location Indicator

Look for your current location displayed in the navigation. It shows your area and market (for example, "North York, Toronto & GTA").

Tap it anytime to:

  • See your current area and market

  • Switch to a different area within your market

  • Change to a different market entirely

Filtering by Market and Area

We organize listings by markets (major metropolitan regions) and areas (neighborhoods within those markets).

How Location Filtering Works

When you set your location:

Your area comes first - Listings from sellers in your specific area appear at the top

Your market follows - Other listings from your broader market are shown next

Everything's accessible - You can still browse and buy from any market

Changing Your Market

Tap your location in the navigation

Choose a different market from the list

Select an area within that market

Your marketplace view updates automatically

Each market shows how many listings are available.

"Delivery to Me" Toggle

Turn this on to see only listings where courier delivery is available to you:

  • On: Shows items from sellers in your market (same-day delivery possible)

  • Off: Shows all listings regardless of delivery availability

Even with this off, you can always arrange your own pickup for items in other areas.

Tips for Better Browsing

Start with your area - Items from nearby sellers can be delivered same-day

Explore your whole market - Great deals might be in a neighboring area

Save favourite sellers - Their new listings will be easy to find

Check seller ratings - Higher ratings mean happy buyers before you

Read descriptions carefully - Photos don't always tell the whole story
