Monthly Leaderboard Explained
ShopBroker's monthly leaderboard has ranked sellers by the Community Stars they earn in their market. Here's how it works.
One Winner Per Market
ShopBroker's monthly leaderboard is organized by market. Right now, Toronto and the Greater Toronto Area is the active market. As new markets open, each one gets its own leaderboard and prize pool.
You compete only against sellers in your market. Check the in-app location selector for the latest list of active markets.
Current Reward Status
Under the May 29, 2026 Terms update, Community Stars leaderboard prizes are scheduled to pause while ShopBroker shifts ongoing BrokerBucks earning to the Monthly Seller Dividend. The leaderboard can still help you track monthly activity and see how your seller momentum compares locally.
If you already earned BrokerBucks from earlier leaderboard prizes, those credits still apply to future service fees while your account is active.
When the Month Resets
The leaderboard resets at midnight on the 1st in your market's local timezone (currently Eastern Time for the GTA). As new markets launch, each will reset in its own local timezone.
This means you have until midnight in your local timezone to earn stars for the month.
What Counts Toward the Leaderboard
Historically, only stars earned during the current month counted toward the monthly leaderboard. Your all-time stars were tracked separately.
Stars from transactions have a 24-hour delay before they're counted. This prevents gaming the system.
Tie-Breakers
If two sellers end up with the same star count, the one who reached that number first wins.
Viewing the Leaderboard
Open Community Stars from the menu
Select your market (or any market you want to see)
View the Monthly tab for current competition
Switch to All-Time to see the overall leaders
Your Rank
On the Community Stars page, you'll see:
Your current star count for the month
Your rank in your market
How many stars the leader has
Days remaining in the month
Historical Strategy Tips
Early in the Month
Complete profile and shop customization tasks so buyers have the context they need.
Mid-Month
Focus on completing sales and delivering a reliable buyer experience.
Late in the Month
Check the leaderboard to understand local seller activity, then focus on building momentum for next month.
All Month
Leave reviews after purchases so other buyers and sellers have useful trust signals.
Fair Play
Why the 24-Hour Delay?
Transaction stars take 24 hours to count. This ensures only legitimate completed transactions earn stars - no fake orders or cancelled deals.
Minimum Transaction
Only transactions above a minimum threshold earn stars. You'll see the current minimum in the Community Stars section of the app.
