> Leaderboard retired May 3, 2026. This article preserves how it worked while the program was active. BrokerBucks earning has shifted to the Monthly Seller Dividend; past leaderboard BrokerBucks still apply to service fees.
Monthly Leaderboard Explained
ShopBroker's monthly leaderboard ranked sellers by the Community Stars they earned in their market. Star earning ended on April 29, 2026, and the program was retired on May 3, 2026, so leaderboard rewards no longer accrue. The May 29, 2026 Terms update memorialized the retirement. This article preserves how it worked while the program was active.
One Winner Per Market (Historical)
The monthly leaderboard was organized by market. Toronto and the Greater Toronto Area was the active market at the time of retirement. Each market had its own leaderboard and prize pool, and sellers competed only against others in their own market.
Reward Status
Community Stars leaderboard rewards stopped accruing when star earning ended on April 29, 2026 and the program was formally retired on May 3, 2026. Ongoing BrokerBucks earning has shifted to the Monthly Seller Dividend.
If you already earned BrokerBucks from earlier leaderboard prizes, those credits still apply to future service fees while your account is active.
When the Month Reset (Historical)
The leaderboard reset at midnight on the 1st in the market's local timezone (Eastern Time for the GTA). Sellers had until midnight local time to earn stars for that month.
What Counted Toward the Leaderboard (Historical)
Only stars earned during the current month counted toward the monthly leaderboard. All-time stars were tracked separately.
Stars from transactions had a 24-hour delay before they counted. This prevented gaming the system.
Tie-Breakers (Historical)
When two sellers ended a month with the same star count, the one who reached that number first won.

Historical Strategy Tips
> The habits still work, even without the prize. Profile completion, consistent reviews, and reliable fulfilment all still build buyer trust and seller momentum. The leaderboard is gone; the playbook isn't.
These tips applied while the leaderboard was running. The habits remain useful for building seller momentum even without a prize attached.
Early in the Month
Complete profile and shop customization tasks so buyers have the context they need.
Mid-Month
Focus on completing sales and delivering a reliable buyer experience.
Late in the Month
Check the leaderboard to understand local seller activity, then focus on building momentum for next month.
All Month
Leave reviews after purchases so other buyers and sellers have useful trust signals.
Fair Play (Historical)
Why the 24-Hour Delay?
Transaction stars took 24 hours to count. This ensured only legitimate completed transactions earned stars, with no fake orders or cancelled deals.
Minimum Transaction
Only transactions above a minimum threshold earned stars. The current minimum was shown in the Community Stars section of the app while the program was active.
