ShopBroker Market Fees & Discounts

How service fees and seller discounts work during ShopBroker Market marketplace events

Written by Austin Headley

Event Pricing at a Glance

ShopBroker Market events can offer reduced service fees and per-seller item discounts. Here's how both work.

Reduced Service Fees

During a ShopBroker Market event, we may lower the service fee for all participating sellers. The event page shows the current service fee rate and whether it is reduced from the standard rate. For standard fees, see Service Fee Breakdown.

The current service fee rate is displayed on the event page during live events. When the rate is lower than standard, you'll see a "Fees reduced to X%" or "No service fee" label.

Who Benefits?

The reduced service fee is a seller benefit. It means sellers keep more of each sale during the event. Buyers don't pay the service fee directly, but sellers with lower fees may pass savings along through better pricing.

When Does It Apply?

The reduced service fee applies to all transactions where:

  • The seller has claimed a stall for the event

  • The transaction occurs during the event's active period

Transactions completed before the event starts or after it ends use the standard service fee.

Per-Seller Discounts

Each seller at a ShopBroker Market event can set their own item discount from the options shown in the event form.

How Discounts Work

  • The seller chooses their discount percentage when applying to the event

  • The discount applies to all of the seller's listings during the event

  • Sellers can update their discount at any time before or during the event

How Discounts Appear

On seller shop cards: A discount badge shows the current event offer next to the seller's name.

At checkout: The discounted price is reflected in the item's listing price during the event.

Discount vs. Service Fee

Benefits

Sellers keep more per sale

Buyers pay less per item

They can stack. For example, a seller can benefit from a reduced event service fee while also offering buyers a lower item price through their own event discount.

Event Prizes

Prize structures vary by event. Check the event page for current prize rules. Starting May 29, 2026, ongoing seller rewards move to the Monthly Seller Dividend.

Seller leaderboard prizes can use three categories:

  • Most Transactions

  • Most Shop Visits

  • Top Revenue

The top sellers in each category win according to that event's posted rules.

Some events may also list shopper prizes. If shopper prizes are available, the event page explains how to qualify.

No Extra Costs

ShopBroker Market events don't add separate event fees for buyers or sellers:

  • No booth fees for sellers

  • No event entry fee for buyers

  • No listing fees during events

  • Delivery fees still apply as normal if a buyer chooses delivery

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I get the reduced service fee on all my sales during the event?

Yes, as long as you've claimed a stall for the event and the sale happens during the active event period.

Can I change my discount during the event?

Yes. Click Edit My Discount on the event page to adjust your percentage at any time.

What if I'm in multiple events at the same time?

The service fee and discount for each event apply independently. Each event has its own settings.

Do event BrokerBucks stack with my existing balance?

Yes, if an event offers BrokerBucks. Those credits are added to your existing balance and reduce your service fees on future sales.
