Shopping at ShopBroker Market Events

How to browse seller shops, find deals, and RSVP for ShopBroker Market marketplace events

Written by Austin Headley

What Is ShopBroker Market?

Heads up: we recently renamed "kiosk" to "shop" across the platform. Same feature, clearer name.

ShopBroker Market is our online marketplace event series. Events currently run in Toronto and the Greater Toronto Area and bring together local sellers offering exclusive deals. You can browse seller shops and shop at discounted prices during live events.

Finding ShopBroker Market Events

Active and upcoming events are linked from the ShopBroker homepage and through notifications. Each event has its own page at shopbroker.ca/events/[event-name].

RSVP to Get Notified

Before an event goes live, you can RSVP to make sure you don't miss the start:

Visit the event page

Sign in to your account

Scroll to the RSVP section and click RSVP to Get Notified

You'll be notified when the event goes live. If you change your mind before the event starts, you can remove your RSVP.

Browsing Seller Shops

Once an event is live, the event page shows all participating seller shops organized by region. You can:

  • Filter by region: Use the region pills at the top to narrow down sellers

  • Browse shop cards: Each card shows the seller's name, rating, discount badge, and region

  • Visit a shop: Click any seller's card to visit their full shop page

Each card shows a unique AI-generated image that gives the seller's shop a market-stall feel.

Event Discounts

ShopBroker Market events can offer two types of savings:

Reduced Service Fees

ShopBroker may lower or waive the service fee during an event. When this happens, sellers keep more of the sale price, which often means better pricing for you. The event page shows the current service fee rate.

Seller-Specific Discounts

Individual sellers can offer discounts of up to 50% off their item prices. Look for the discount badge on seller shop cards. It shows the percentage off.

These discounts are applied to the seller's item prices during the event. You'll see the discounted price when you view their listings.

The Event Leaderboard

During live events, the leaderboard tracks seller performance across three categories:

  • Most Transactions: Which sellers have the most completed sales

  • Most Shop Visits: Which sellers are getting the most visitor traffic

  • Top Revenue: Which sellers have the highest total sales

The leaderboard gives you a quick sense of which sellers are popular and active. Prize structures vary by event and are listed on the event page.

Community Stars Status

ShopBroker Market events have historically contributed to Community Stars, but new Community Star earning is scheduled to pause under the May 29, 2026 Terms update.

How to Shop at a ShopBroker Market Event

Visit the event page while the event is live

Browse seller shops by region or scroll through all sellers

Click a seller's card to visit their shop

Browse their listings and find something you want

Complete checkout as you normally would on ShopBroker

The checkout process is the same as any ShopBroker purchase. You'll choose your delivery or pickup option and pay through secure checkout.

After the Event

When an event ends, the event page transitions to a recap view. You can still see:

  • The final leaderboard results

  • All participating sellers (and visit their shops)

  • The winners and posted event results

Past events remain accessible so you can revisit sellers you discovered during the event.

Tips for Event Shopping

RSVP early. You'll get notified the moment the event goes live.

Check discount badges. Sellers with higher discounts may have the best deals.

Explore different regions. Browse sellers from regions you might not normally shop in.

Visit multiple shops. Events are built for discovery, so it is worth checking more than one seller.
