ShopBroker Partners Referrals
ShopBroker Partners lets you share a referral link with people who might want to sell on ShopBroker. The current referral offer is shown in the app.
Under the May 29, 2026 Terms update, the program is scheduled to move toward fee-free selling days instead of new BrokerBucks awards. Existing BrokerBucks you already earned from older referral milestones still apply to future service fees while your account is active.
The Basics

How to Participate
Get Your Referral Link
Log into your ShopBroker account
Go to "Referral Program" or "ShopBroker Partners"
Copy your unique referral link
Your link looks like: shopbroker.ca/partner/yourcode
Share Your Link
Send it to friends, family, or anyone who might want to sell:
Text messages
Social media posts
Email
Community groups
Two-Stage Qualification
Stage 1: Onboarding Your referral qualifies when they:
Sign up using your link
Complete their seller profile
Connect a payment provider (PayPal or Stripe)
Stage 2: First Transaction Your referral reaches the second milestone when they complete their first buy or sell transaction on ShopBroker.

What BrokerBucks Do
If you already have a BrokerBucks balance from earlier referral milestones, those credits still reduce your service fees when you sell. For each sale:
Your service fee is calculated as usual
Your available BrokerBucks are applied to reduce it
You keep more of your sale price
Each $1 in BrokerBucks reduces your service fee by $1.

In your account, see:
People who signed up with your link
Whether they've completed onboarding (Stage 1)
Whether they've completed first transaction (Stage 2)
Your referral progress
Your current balance

Who Counts as a Referral?
Must be brand new to ShopBroker
Must sign up using your specific link
Must connect a payment provider (PayPal or Stripe) for the onboarding milestone
Existing BrokerBucks Still Apply
Any BrokerBucks already in your account remain valid against future service fees while your account is active.
Referral Benefits Can Stack
Refer multiple friends and eligible benefits can stack according to the current offer shown in the app.

Target Good Candidates
Best referrals are people who:
Already sell online (Kijiji, Facebook Marketplace)
Have items to sell now
Value secure transactions
Explain the Benefits
Tell them why ShopBroker helps:

Follow Up
Check in if they sign up but haven't sold yet:

Common Questions
Can I refer buyers?
The referral program rewards both buyer and seller transactions. Your friend earns you the Stage 2 bonus whether they buy or sell first.
Do they get anything?
Right now, the rewards go to you as the referrer. Your friends get access to a safe, trusted marketplace, which is a win for them too.
What if they delete their account?
Check the current offer in ShopBroker Partners or reach out to support. Eligibility depends on the referral benefit that was active when the milestone was completed.
