Managing Delivery and Pickup Availability

How to manage courier delivery, pickup windows, and pickup spots for your listings

Written by Austin Headley

Offering Courier Delivery

When courier delivery is enabled on your account, buyers in your service area can choose courier delivery at checkout. A verified courier picks up from you and delivers directly to the buyer.

How Delivery Works for Sellers

A buyer purchases your item with delivery

You receive a notification and a shipping label

Pack the item securely and attach the label, then tap Create Shipment

For most orders, a courier collects the package automatically in its scheduled window (usually the next business day, between 9am and 3pm). There's no second button to tap.

The courier delivers the item to the buyer

ShopBroker books the most affordable courier option for each order, so the timing is set for you. A few same-day Direct orders still show a Ready for Pickup button, and for those a courier arrives within about 2 hours (couriers run 8am-8pm).

Be Ready for the Courier

To keep things smooth:

  • Have the item packaged and good to go before the scheduled pickup window

  • Keep your phone handy for courier updates

  • For a same-day Direct order, tap Ready for Pickup once you're set, then be available for the next couple of hours

For In-Person Pickups

In-person pickups work differently. You can let buyers book from your pickup availability after checkout, or coordinate by message if scheduling is not available for that listing.

Set weekly pickup windows in My Shop > Availability. If you connect Google Calendar, ShopBroker can hide busy slots based on the calendars you select, without reading event titles or notes.

Meeting Locations

Manage your master list of pickup spots in My Shop > Settings > Pickup spots. You can offer any combination of:

  • Your home (if comfortable)

  • Police safe-trade zones surfaced by ShopBroker

  • Custom public pickup spots you add

When you create or edit a listing, the Pickup spots for buyers picker lets you check exactly which of those spots are available on that specific listing. Your home appears as a regular row in the picker, so you can keep it on for some listings and off for others without changing your master list.

New listings use your current pickup spot defaults. Existing listings keep their saved spots until you edit the listing and use Pull latest from settings.

Common Scenarios

"I work 9-5"

Mark items ready in the evening when you're home. Couriers are available until 8pm. Weekends work too.

"I work from home"

Mark items ready anytime during the day. You can step away for a few minutes when the courier arrives.

"I'm going on vacation"

Simply don't mark any items as ready until you're back. No settings to change.

Tips

  • Package items the night before so you're ready to go

  • Keep your phone nearby after marking an item ready

  • Provide clear instructions for your building (buzzer codes, etc.)
