The Payment Flow

Here's exactly how money moves from buyer to you.

Step by Step

1. Buyer Pays

When someone buys your item, their payment is authorized and held securely by ShopBroker.

2. You Prepare the Item

Get the item ready for pickup. For delivery orders, make sure it's accessible for the driver.

3. Item Is Delivered/Picked Up

For delivery: Our delivery partner picks up and delivers the item.

For self-arranged: You meet the buyer, and they confirm receipt.

4. Payment Is Released

Once delivery is confirmed (or the buyer taps "Pay Seller" for self-arranged), the payment is captured.

5. You Get Paid

The funds transfer to your connected bank account. Timing depends on your payout schedule.

What You Receive

Your payout is the item price minus:

  • Service fee - ShopBroker's platform fee

  • Any applicable partner discounts (reduce the fee)

The delivery fee goes directly to the delivery service, not through you.

Example

When you sell an item, the service fee is deducted automatically:

  • You receive: Listing price minus service fee

  • You'll see the exact breakdown in your transaction details

The fee amount is shown when you create your listing, so you always know what to expect.

Payout Timeline

After payment is captured:

  • Funds typically appear in your bank within 2-4 business days

  • First-time sellers may have a longer initial hold

  • You can check status in your Stripe/PayPal dashboard

Viewing Your Earnings

Track everything in your ShopBroker dashboard:

  • Individual sale amounts

  • Fees deducted

  • Payout status

  • Total earnings

You can also access your Stripe Express dashboard for detailed payout history.

Important Notes

Payment is held until delivery: You don't receive money until the buyer has their item.

Cancellations: If an order is cancelled before delivery, no payment is made.

Failed delivery: If delivery fails due to issues on the buyer's end, you may still be protected. Contact support.
