Check Your Earnings & Payouts

How to access and use the ShopBroker Payments page with PayPal or Stripe

Written by Austin Headley

Your Payments Page

The Payments page is where you track your earnings, review transactions, and manage how you get paid through PayPal, Stripe, or both.

Accessing the Payments Page

On desktop: Click your profile picture in the top-right corner, then select Payments.

On mobile: Tap the menu icon, then tap Payments.

You can also go straight to /payments in your browser.

What's on the Payments Page

The page has four tabs:

Overview

See how your sales are doing at a glance:

  • Current balance (ready for payout)

  • Pending balance (still processing)

  • Total earnings

  • Recent transaction summary

Transactions

Every payment received in one place:

  • Sale amount for each transaction

  • ShopBroker service fee deducted

  • Net amount paid to you

  • Transaction status and date

  • Link to the original order

Payouts

Your payout history and upcoming transfers:

  • History of bank transfers with dates and amounts

  • Pending payouts

  • Transfer history (PayPal) or payout schedule (Stripe)

  • Bank account on file (managed through your payment provider)

Settings

Manage your payment provider connections:

  • PayPal connection status

  • Stripe connection status

  • Active provider toggle (when both are connected)

  • Action Required banners if a provider needs attention

PayPal vs Stripe at a Glance

ShopBroker pays you securely through whichever provider is your active one.

PayPal: Funds land in your PayPal balance after delivery is confirmed. You manually transfer to your bank from PayPal whenever you want.

Stripe: Funds enter your Stripe balance after delivery is confirmed, then automatically pay out to your bank on your chosen schedule.

For a deeper comparison, see Choosing Your Payment Provider.

Understanding Your Balance

  • Available balance: Ready to transfer out (PayPal) or send to your bank (Stripe)

  • Pending balance: Payment captured but still processing

  • Total volume: All-time sales amount

  • Fees paid: Total ShopBroker service fees deducted

Accessing Your Provider's Dashboard

For detailed provider-specific reporting, tax documents, and payout settings:

PayPal Dashboard

Go to Payments > Settings

Click Open PayPal Dashboard

You'll be sent to paypal.com to manage your PayPal account

Stripe Express

Go to Payments > Settings

Click Manage in Stripe

You'll be taken to your Stripe Express dashboard

You can also access Stripe Express directly at express.stripe.com after initial setup.

Switching Your Active Provider

If you have both PayPal and Stripe connected, you can switch the active provider:

Go to Payments > Settings

On the provider you want to make active, click Set as Active

The change applies immediately to new orders

Troubleshooting

Can't Access the Payments Page

  • Make sure you've completed PayPal or Stripe setup

  • Check for any Action Required banners. These mean your provider needs more information from you.

  • Contact ShopBroker support if the issue persists

Balance Doesn't Match Expectations

ShopBroker shows your net earnings after fees. If something looks off, compare the transaction detail view with your provider's dashboard. The numbers should match once you factor in the service fee.

PayPal-Specific Issues

For PayPal connection problems, see PayPal Account Problems.

Stripe-Specific Issues

For Stripe connection problems, see Stripe Account Problems.

Tips

  • Check the Overview tab weekly to stay on top of your earnings

  • Download your transaction history from your provider's dashboard at tax time

  • Keep your payment provider details up to date to avoid payout delays

  • Respond promptly to any Action Required notices; delays can pause payouts
