How to access and understand your payment provider dashboard

Your Payment Provider Dashboard

Beyond ShopBroker's seller dashboard, you have access to Stripe Express or PayPal dashboards for detailed payment information.

Stripe Express Dashboard

Accessing Stripe Express

Go to your ShopBroker profile settings

Click "View Stripe Dashboard" or similar link

You'll be taken to Stripe Express

Or access directly at express.stripe.com after initial setup.

What You'll Find

#### Overview

  • Current balance

  • Recent payouts

  • Upcoming scheduled transfers

  • Transaction summary

#### Transactions

  • Every payment received

  • Fees deducted

  • Refunds issued

  • Detailed breakdowns

#### Payouts

  • History of bank transfers

  • Pending payouts

  • Payout schedule

  • Bank account on file

#### Settings

  • Payout schedule preferences

  • Bank account management

  • Tax information (1099/T5018 if applicable)

  • Business details

Key Metrics to Check

  • Available balance: Ready for next payout

  • Pending balance: Processing, not yet available

  • Total volume: All-time sales

  • Fees paid: Total ShopBroker service fees

Log into paypal.com or PayPal app

View your main dashboard

Look for business/merchant section if applicable

  • Link and manage bank accounts

  • Available balance: Ready to transfer or spend

  • On hold: New seller holds (PayPal's protection)

  • Transaction history: Complete payment records

Understanding Fees

In Stripe

Each transaction shows:

  • Gross amount (what buyer paid you)

  • ShopBroker fee (deducted)

  • Net amount (what you receive)

In PayPal

Similar breakdown:

  • Payment received

  • Fees deducted

  • Net amount to balance

Tax Documents

Stripe (Canada)

If you meet thresholds, Stripe provides tax information slips. Check your dashboard early in the new year.

PayPal

Access tax documents in Settings β†’ Tax Documents. May include transaction summaries for your accountant.

Exporting Data

Stripe

Download CSV reports for:

  • Transactions

  • Payouts

  • Balances

Find in the "Reporting" section.

PayPal

Download statements:

  • Go to Activity

  • Click "Download"

  • Choose date range and format

Troubleshooting

Can't Access Stripe Dashboard

  • Make sure you've completed onboarding

  • Check email for verification requests

  • Contact ShopBroker support if issues persist

PayPal Balance Seems Wrong

  • Check for holds on new transactions

  • Look for pending refunds

  • Review recent activity

Discrepancy with ShopBroker

ShopBroker shows your sales. Stripe/PayPal shows the final amount after fees. Both should reconcile when you account for the service fee.

  • Check your dashboard weekly

  • Download monthly statements for records

  • Keep track of fees for tax purposes

  • Review settings quarterly
