What fees apply to your sales and how they work

How Service Fees Work

ShopBroker charges a service fee on completed sales. This fee keeps the platform running and pays for buyer protection, payment processing, and customer support.

The Fee Structure

ShopBroker charges a service fee as a percentage of the item price. The rate is the same for all categories and sale prices.

You can reduce your effective fee through BrokerBucks earned from our Partners referral program or Community Stars prizes. You'll always see the exact fee and your payout before listing your item.

What's Included in the Fee

The service fee covers:

  • Payment processing - Secure card transactions

  • Buyer protection - Refund guarantees

  • Platform operations - Matching buyers with sellers

  • Customer support - Help when things go wrong

  • Fraud prevention - Keeping bad actors out

When the Fee Is Charged

The fee is deducted automatically when payment is released to you. You never have to pay anything upfront.

Order completes: Fee is deducted from your payout.

Order cancelled: No fee charged.

Seeing Your Fees

Before you list:

  • The listing wizard shows estimated fees

  • You see exactly what you'll receive

After you sell:

  • Transaction details show the fee breakdown

  • Your payout reflects the net amount

Reducing Your Fees

ShopBroker Partners Program

Refer friends to ShopBroker and earn BrokerBucks that automatically reduce your service fees. You earn BrokerBucks when your referral completes onboarding and again when they complete their first transaction. Visit ShopBroker Partners in the app for current reward amounts.

Watch for Promotions

We occasionally run reduced-fee promotions for specific categories or times. Keep an eye on announcements.

Fees vs. Delivery Fees

These are separate:

Service fee: Deducted from your payout. Goes to ShopBroker. Buyers don't see this fee - it's between you and the platform.

Delivery fee: Paid by buyer at checkout. Goes to the delivery service.

If your buyer chooses self-arranged pickup, there's no delivery fee at all.

Common Questions

Is the fee negotiable? The standard fee isn't negotiable, but you can reduce it through the Partners program.

Is there a monthly fee? No. You only pay when you make a sale.

What about unsold items? No fee. You're only charged on completed sales.

The Bottom Line

Our fee structure is simple: you pay a percentage only when you successfully sell something. No hidden fees, no monthly charges, no surprises.
