Transaction Statuses Explained

Understand what each status means for your sale

Transaction Status Guide

As your sale progresses, you'll see different statuses. Here's what each one means.

Status Overview

Waiting for Payment

What it means: Your listing is live and waiting for a buyer to purchase.

What to do: Nothing yet. Share your listing link to attract buyers.

Payment Secured

What it means: The buyer's payment is secured. Funds are held until pickup is complete.

What to do: First click Create Shipment on your transaction page to generate the shipping label. Your next step after that depends on the delivery option the buyer chose at checkout.

  • Everyday Delivery (scheduled): Once your shipment is created, Trexity automatically picks up at your address between 9am and 3pm the next business day. There's no second button to press. Just have the package packed and labeled before the window opens.

  • Direct Delivery (on-demand): Once your shipment is created, pack and label the item, then tap "Ready for Pickup" when you're set. A courier will be dispatched right away and arrives in about 2 hours.

For in-person pickup orders, use the "Message Buyer" button on the transaction page to coordinate the meetup with your buyer.

Courier Dispatched

What it means: A courier is on the way to pick up your item.

What to do: Have the item ready with the shipping label attached.

  • For Direct orders, the courier typically arrives within about 2 hours of your "Ready for Pickup" tap.

  • For Everyday orders, the courier arrives during the 9am-3pm window on the pickup date, which is the business day after you created the shipment.

Item Picked Up

What it means: The courier has collected your item and is heading to the buyer.

What to do: Relax! The delivery is in progress.

Item Delivered

What it means: The buyer has received their item. Transaction complete!

What to do: You're all set. Your payout will land in your connected account within a few business days.

Cancelled

What it means: The order was cancelled (either by you, the buyer, or because a payment authorization expired without being captured).

What to do: If you didn't cancel, check email for details. You can relist the item.

Delivery Failed

What it means: The delivery couldn't be completed this time.

What to do: Reach out to our support team. We'll help figure out next steps. Your item may be returned to you or the delivery can be rescheduled.

In-Person Pickup Order Statuses

For in-person pickup, the flow is simpler:

Waiting for Payment β†’ Listing is active

Payment Secured β†’ Funds are held, use "Message Buyer" to coordinate meetup

Item Delivered β†’ Buyer confirmed receipt, funds released to your payout account

Status Notifications

You'll receive notifications for status changes via:

  • Email

  • In-app alerts

What If I'm Stuck on a Status?

If a status hasn't changed when expected:

Check for any action needed from you

Review email for updates or issues

Contact support if something seems wrong

Common Questions

How long between Payment Secured and Pickup? Same-day for delivery orders. The courier typically arrives within about 2 hours of marking "Ready for Pickup."

What if the buyer cancels? Status changes to Cancelled. You can relist the item immediately.

When does my payout hit my account? After status reaches "Item Delivered," funds are released and your payout typically lands in your connected account within a few business days.
