Closing Your Account
We're sad to see you go, but we understand. Here's how to delete your ShopBroker account.
Before You Delete
Complete Open Transactions
You cannot delete your account if you have:
Pending orders (as buyer or seller)
Active listings with interested buyers
Funds pending payout
Finish or cancel all active transactions first.
Withdraw Your Balance
If you have earnings waiting:
Request payout in Stripe/PayPal
Wait for funds to reach your bank
Verify the transfer completed
Download Your Data
If you want records:
Export transaction history
Screenshot important information
Download any tax documents from Stripe/PayPal
How to Delete
Option 1: Self-Service
Log into your account
Go to Profile Settings
Scroll to "Delete Account" or "Close Account"
Confirm your decision
Verify with email or password
Account deleted
Option 2: Request via Support
Email [email protected]
Use the email associated with your account
State clearly you want to delete your account
We'll verify and process
What Gets Deleted
Immediately
Your profile information
Saved preferences
Login credentials
Active listings
Retained for Legal/Business Purposes
Transaction records (required for tax/legal compliance)
Payment history (kept by Stripe/PayPal)
Communications related to disputes
We're required to keep some records. See our Privacy Policy for details.
What Stays Connected
Stripe Connect
Your Stripe Express account is separate. It's not automatically closed when you delete ShopBroker. To close Stripe:
Access your Stripe Express dashboard
Look for account closure options
Or contact Stripe support
PayPal
Your PayPal account is independent of ShopBroker. Close it through PayPal if desired.
Can You Come Back?
After Deletion
Your account is permanently closed
You cannot restore it
Transaction history is gone from your view
References (ratings you left/received) remain
Re-Joining
You can create a new account later with:
The same or different email
Fresh start (no history carries over)
Re-complete verification

Remove active listings
Just don't create new ones
Your account stays dormant

Common Questions
Will my ratings disappear?
Ratings you left on others remain (attributed to "deleted user"). Ratings on you may still show for record-keeping.
What about my referrals?
Referral credits and history are closed with your account. Active discounts end.
Can I delete just my listings?
Yes! You don't need to delete your account. Just remove individual listings from your dashboard.
How long does deletion take?
Self-service is immediate. Support requests process within 2-3 business days.
